Join the Chicago Journalists Association Tuesday, April 4, as we honor the remarkable life and legacy of late CJA member and trailblazing Georgie Anne Geyer at Dominican University’s 2023 Georgie Anne Geyer Lecture.
Geyer broke the mold for female journalists. She was a foreign correspondent at a time when most foreign correspondents were men. She reported from dangerous locations all over the globe and sought out the most powerful male leaders. She succeeded in interviewing many, including Fidel Castro and Saddam Hussein.
In 2009, CJA honored her with the prestigious Daniel Pearl Award. And we’re very lucky to call her one of our own.
